about

crazy storm here in vermont.
temps rose to 48 degrees then plunged to 8 in a couple of hours.
fierce rain and wind.
i saw a full size pine
snap in half
and float upon the winds
like a dandelion seed
crashing down.
never saw so many branches flying.
the forest was furious.
the power went out.
temps plunged.
the fire was tended through the night.
in the morning everything was caked in ice.
the land without humans could be heard.
and then the power returned.
electricity.
what a gift.
i tried to record a bit of what went down.
nuanced listening.
