The {sub} liminal spaces where nature and machines occupy frequency and harmonics at the cross roads by Sodom Pond in Adamant Vermont.
This is headphones music designed to exist within a vacuum from other sound environments. Its long form plateaus of tonality and possibility.
The first and third tracks were recorded using four mics: two pointed towards trees and water traversed by a dirt road. The other two mics face towards the intersection of a barn and store. Likely built at different times, the angles result in some beautifully unique acoustics (picture of the location included with download).
The result is a recording with subtly supple acoustic boundaries. There are deep tones in sections of remarkable quite similar to the sonoran desert at times for lack of a better reference point. Or perhaps the sea.
Track two is an improvisation written for a struggling drink cooler, struggling electric guitar and struggling electronics.
