On September 3, 2019 a liberated, free-range, discarded segment of borderland barrier was struck 97 times --- one time to honor the life of every man, woman and child who died during migration because of border militarization in Southern Arizona since the first of the year.
~
This performance is an annual realization of the score Until There Are No More Deaths --- an original percussion piece written for border walls wherever they exist.
~
This work was first performed in 2016 along the southern border in Arizona but has migrated to the northern borderlands of Vermont where the recording will remain consistent with the initial intent of the original 2016 performance.
~
This year the work was performed by Glenn Weyant (percussion) in a rural working farmland location.

The data used in the performance was provided by Humane Borders:

If you wish to bring this segment of liberated, free-range borderland barrier material for a performance in your community please be in touch.

Because of the recording’s subtle nuances, it is recommended you use headphones or earbuds and forego experiencing this work via a crappy mobile phone speaker.
