gratitude for family clean water and air food forest music weed electricity stars and snow and clouds and trees with peculiar branches that flesh out in green leaf billowing expanses flame like the phoenix then settle into bony fingers reaching for the sky a blanket of leaves around the rootsrootsroots until the cycle repeats again. the spiral vs. the flat circle. weird shit all the time acoustified into sound vision. everything that was is and was and is -- and so on. this is the moment of clarity where you've got to work at it to get there. but if you do there is this flash of something worth while. reaching for the brass ring. almost there like within a mirror. playing connect the dots with stars in a late summer night sky. the dust rises off the roads in summer and winter. the mud is for fall and spring. the music has its seasons too. entire sonified ecosystems playing themselves out to extinction. this is the song. gratitude.
