about

it was -12 degrees F in vermont around 6 am this morning.
i made a recording of that soundscape after hearing it.
that much cold all but shut the gear down in three minutes or so.
but it was worth it.
the acoustic properties of snow and all of its formulations.
from delicate fluff to coating of ice.
the high pitch wind through frozen trees.
the creaking and snapping and popping of wood.
track one features some frigid acoustic anomalies in the soundscape.
the rest of it is electronics and wire and wood and electricity.
enjoy.
