it serves no purpose from the perspective of commodity
but it does act as documentation of a process with a few nice moments where the ideas and the execution align
that is perhaps what this is about : the sonic journey not the destination
the sound s intimate intentionally but not contrived
there are two instructions -- for lack of a more accurate word -- that guide all of these works
first is mic placement
second emphasizes playing not the right notes but rather play notes when they are right
rather than a specific note in a specific time and space with all of the specific attacks and so on, instead these improvisations are guided by the idea of releasing a sound into the space at a place when it is right for you to do so
