about

it was -12 degrees F in vermont around 6 am this morning (1/15/22).
i made a recording of that soundscape.
the cold all but shut the gear down in three minutes or so.
seemed worth it.
the infinite acoustic properties of snow and all of its formulations.
from delicate fluff to coating of ice.
the high pitch wind through frozen trees.
the creaking and snapping and popping of wood.
track one features some frigid acoustic anomalies in the vermont soundscape.
the rest are anomalies of thought electronics and wire and wood and electricity.
enjoy.
