about

When rain falls hard for hours as it did on 7/11/23 in Vermont during a 1,000 year flood that will likely happen again in the near future, the weather silences birds, claws at the earth, births new waterways and rearranges topography.
This work is process of processing that process.
Cities, homes and roads were ravaged by the storm as were the people and landscape.
Think about donating money to disaster relief if you can. People are hurting.
And if you do, send me an email and I will send you a download code in gratitude.
About the music:
Track 1 : A sound score composed during a walk to Mallory Brook -- local waterway that feeds into the Winooski River which over ran its banks and took its due.
Microphone positioning / locations / intentional artifacts were all in consideration of the chance properties of the sound walk score being composed.
Tracks 2 and 3 a/b are distinct interpretations of the score using amplified river detritus, electronics and traditional instruments.
