this isn't about music. i've a new outlook on music. its a take on the supreme court adage re: porn : i can't tell you what music is but i know it when i hear it. : its like that. the sounds of nature:un:nature all become music / are music. and music can not exist without un;music. but what is un:music? or perhaps more importantly ++ what does it sound like? where does it go? to answer these questions is a reason i create. the summoning into form a living entity - a soundscape - and populating it with acoustic imagery. its like building a house of cards out of rose pedals. its like trying to take a bicycle from a monkey on stilts. its like smoking a cigar in a shed at the dump by the rail road tracks near the river on a rainy day in november in northern new jersey with a pocket full of rocks and toy cars and rubber balls and bazooka gum and a card you found on the boardwalk in summer that read: a friend with weed is a friend in deed. you marveled at it all. this isn't about music.
